Intex Pharma Bacteriostatic Water 10ml is a sterile, non-pyrogenic water that contains 0.9% (9 mg/ml) of benzyl alcohol added as a bacteriostatic preservative. It is used for diluting or dissolving drugs for intravenous, intramuscular, or subcutaneous injection according to instructions of the manufacturer of the drug to be administered. The bacteriostatic water is different from normal saline as it inhibits the growth of bacteria. It provides a safe medium for diluting or dissolving medications for patient injections. It’s packaged in a multiple-dose container from which repeated withdrawals can be made to dilute or dissolve drugs.
